Community
Golden Horseshoe Credit Union is strongly connected to its community. Our credit union has participated in various community events and contributed to a variety of charities over the years.
In 2011, the credit union helped out the Hamilton community in many capacities:
• Primary sponsor and volunteer at the 2011 Hamilton Wentworth Regional Heritage Fair for students interested in Canadian history (April 2011)
• Participated in Canada Day held at the F.H. Sherman Learning and Recreation Center (July 2011)
• Raised funds for Hamilton Food Share through our Annual Member Charity BBQ (August 2011)
• Sponsored and participated in the Food Share Kick-Off Event held at the ArcelorMittal Main Office (December 2011)
• Provided sponsorship for Dofasco Minor Hockey teams.
• Provided sponsorship and/or door prizes for various charitable causes including YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lung cancer, SOCKS, Hamilton Food Share
