Getting Started
To sign-up for internet banking, visit one of our branches to receive your access number and temporary PIN. Once you have signed up, you will be able to access your account online immediately!
How To Start Using Online Banking:
1. Go to the Golden Horseshoe credit union website: www.ghcu.ca
2. Click on “Online Banking Login” found on the right-hand side of the homepage underneath the “peace of mind” banking flower image.
3. Type in your access number and PIN code (assigned to you when you sign-up for internet banking in person)
4. For security reasons, we ask you to change your PIN code. To do this click on “Bank Set-Up” on the bottom left of the Account Balance screen. If you forget your PIN code, you will have to come down to one of our branches to change it.
5. To log out of online banking, click on the “End Session” icon at the bottom of your screen.
View Your Transaction History
1. Log in and click on the “Transactions” tab.
2. Select the account you wish to view and click “Go”.
3. To go back further, click on “next” at the bottom right hand corner of the statement.
Transfers within your Golden Horseshoe account
1. Once you have logged in, click on “Transfers”.
2. Enter the amount you would like to transfer.
3. Choose the account you are transferring from and then choose the account to transfer to.
4. Click “Go” and your transaction will be completed immediately.
Utility Bill Set-Up and Payment
1. To set-up a biller, click on “E-payment” after you have logged in.
2. Click on “Add/Remove Billers” and type in the biller name (e.g. Cogeco), a drop down menu of billers will appear. Highlight the biller that you wish to pay and then type in your account number associated with the biller. Click “Add” and you have successfully added the biller!
3. To pay a bill, click on “E-Payment” and then enter the last 3 digits of the account number of the biller.
4. Select the account from which you want to pay the bill from and then type in the amount that you wish to pay. Click “I’m finished”. NOTE: The bill payment will be processed in one working day.
Set-Up to Transfer funds to Another Financial Institution
1. Once you have logged in, click on “E-Payment”, then “Add/Remove Billers” and then “Add A Person You Want to Pay”.
2. Enter the recipient’s identifier (e.g. Identifier – Royal Bank - key in “rbk”)
3. For the Recipient’s name, enter the name of the account at the other financial institution.
4. Enter the bank account number including transit, bank ID and account number (found at the bottom of your personalized cheques). Click “Add”. You have successfully added the recipient!
5. To transfer funds to another financial institution, click on the “E-Payment” tab and put in the recipient’s identifier as you have set-up above or click on the account number of the recipient that is listed underneath the heading “Your Biller/Recipient List”.
6. Select the credit union account you are transferring from and then enter the amount to be transferred. Confirm that your existing bank information is correct.
7. Click on “I’m Finished” to complete the transaction. NOTE: This transaction will take two working days.
